Rose Queen Sarah
Hello. My name is Sarah Tolley, I am 14 years old.
I love Horse Riding and I am a member of various local organisations, which include
Guides, Dancing, Whaley Bridge Band and other youth groups.
I was Whaley Bridge Rose Queen in 2008 and as no one has entered this year I was asked
to continue, so I am now looking forward to representing the village for a second year.
Princess Caitlin

Hi My name is Caitlin and I’ll be 9 years old in April.
I moved to Whaley Bridge in 2007, so I am thrilled to have been chosen to represent
Whaley Bridge as their Princess this year. It’s my first time in the carnivals, so I am
really excited! I can’t wait to meet new people and make lots of friends.
I love everything to do with nature and my pet dog Rufus often gets walks even when he
doesn’t need one! My mum and dad say I’ll grow up to be a vet someday and I think I’d like
to. I also love swimming and reading books (especially about animals)
If you see me on Carnival Day and over the year please give me a wave and a smile because
I’ll give you one right back.

Hello, my name is Tegan-
I attend Sunshine Nursery and like to dance and sing.
This is my first time in the Rose Queen Festival and I am really looking forward to
wearing a pretty dress and lovely tiara.
I hope it is a lovely day on Carnival Day for me to wave to you all and for everyone to have
a good time.
Petal Tegan-

Hello, I am Hollie Wilman and I am 6 years old.
I have really enjoyed representing Whaley Bridge as the 2008 Rosebud. I am going to
carry on as Rosebud for 2009, as we didn’t have anybody enter the selection.
I have met lots of new friends and travelled to many different carnivals. I have also won
lots of Trophies and certificates too.
We would have loved to have seen some new faces at our selection day, if you are
interested in being an attendant or page boy we would all welcome you.
Thank you and hope to see you on Carnival Day.
Rosebud Hollie
